Students select a program of interest from our list of course offerings. Half of the day is spent at DHST-S, receiving hands-on experience in that direct area of study. The remainder of the day is spent at their home school. Bus transportation is provided to and from all home schools.
Students must be 16 years old by October 1st of the current school year to qualify to attend. The capacity is 615 students. Students may earn 4 units of credit towards the completion of a technical diploma or technical seal to accompany the academic diploma. Students develop employable skills, work ethics, and skills that will enable them to become productive and responsible citizens who are successful in their chosen career fields.
All students enrolled in our programs of student earn industry recognized credentials and certifications related to their respective pathways to further them along in their college and career preparation. In fact, some of the courses taught at DHST-S also satisfy fourth year science requirements for high school graduation.
